How Many Chicks?

baby chicks on the stump June 2015

Question? How many chicks can fit on a stump?  Answer: Some and then a few more. Bumping someone off the stump when a chick flies up and making Mama Joanna scrunch her toes when she joins the crowd on the stump is evidently part of the fun.

Two days ago, one baby chick flew up to the stump. Yesterday, three baby chicks flew up to the stump. Mama Joanna joined them, then it was a free-for-all!  Today – you count! And then…. some flew down and some flew up. Chicken math is very confusing.
