Born Yesterday

Babies coop Feb 2015

The baby chicks were born yesterday – or for the more literal – hatched yesterday – and were put in their chicky shipping box today. We’re expecting a call from the local post office tomorrow morning around 6:00 AM.

The brooder is inside the babies’ new coop, and the brooder light has been temperature-tested this week. Water and baby chicky crumbles are waiting in the brooder. We are ready!

Oh boy! Oh boy! Oh boy! Or – again for the more literal – Oh girl! Oh girl! Oh girl!
