First egg!

First egg Aug 2014

Lydia, one of the beautiful black Australorps, laid her first egg this morning! Her small first egg proudly sits next to Ninja’s egg #14. Lydia has been telling me the past two days she was going to lay an egg. I finally told her yesterday, “So just lay an egg already!” And she did.

The pressure is on Sarah, the last hold out. All the other six chickens have laid eggs now.  I’ll have a chat with Sarah.
