Home, Sweet Home

Home, Sweet Home

The Chicken Coop is ready for the Buff Orpington chickies. We may wait until next week when the low temperatures don’t dip into the 30’s.

The brooder is cramping their style. They’ve had a couple of days out in the Chicky Yard where they practiced their flying, scratching in the dirt, and their favorite Keep-Away Game, running with tasty bugs.

The younger Australorps are getting too big for their brooder, too! When the big girls vacate the larger brooder, the Australorps will move up.

Meanwhile, Olde Dog is very interested in these cheeping, chirping critters. However, You-run-I-chase is one of his favorite games, so his visits with the chicks are well supervised.
