We have had our own private water source of well water since 1995. The wells have been different – from shallow wells to artesian wells, but the water treatment staff has been the same crew. Us.

Because this well was unused for over a year and the plumbers fixed some pipes, we treated the well water following the very well-written instructions from the state Department of Health.

The two-step process began yesterday with loading or shocking the system with chlorine. The second step was this morning when we mostly cleared the water system of chlorine.

We have obviously completed the shocking water system clearing process because we were particularly sanitized by our morning showers. Ah, the sweet clean aroma of morning showers very reminiscent of white sheets hung on the clothes line in years past.
