Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Yes, it is the first of December, not the first of January. But for Western liturgical churches, it is the first Sunday of Advent, the beginning of the new church year. I’ve always loved Advent because Advent is the beginning of Adventure, and I am anticipating great adventures.

New Year’s is out with the old and in with the new, so out with the old weeds and in with the new purple Mexican Petunias in the classy old flower pot. And of course, purple is the color for Advent. Happy New Year!
